chargEV and KINETA enter into a strategic alliance to accelerate the growth of Malaysia’s EV charging infrastructure

chargEV, a business of Yinson GreenTech (“YGT”), which has pioneered electric vehicle (“EV”) charging infrastructure in Malaysia’s as a leading Charge Point Operator (“CPO”), today unveiled its strategic collaboration with KINETA, a subsidiary of Sime Darby Berhad, an end-to-end provider of EV Supply Equipment. chargEV and KINETA are brought together by their common goal of providing market-leading EV charging solutions that enable businesses and consumers to recharge seamlessly as they transition from Internal Combustion Engines (“ICE”) vehicles to EVs.

The collaboration between chargEV and KINETA will include:

  • Providing KINETA customers with access to chargEV’s extensive EV charging infrastructure network in Malaysia
  • Combining their technical, financial and operational strengths to jointly bid for selected large business tender exercises in Malaysia and the region
  • Allowing both parties to leverage the business ecosystem of established parent companies by bringing together the network of the Yinson and Sime Darby groups

Notably, KINETA boasts one of the largest Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST)-certified team of 40 electrical engineers to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of all home and business installations. Their unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional technical support and services to consumers and business partners fosters enduring trust in their offerings. Additionally, KINETA also has a full-fledged in-house team for customer service, after sales support, technical support and warranty management, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their customers’ journey.
